The Elephant House has three bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and desk. This room also has air-conditioning with a remote. The second and third bedroom are furnished with two single beds. This room also has a night light for children and a ceiling fan. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower, soaking tub, toilet and double vanity. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and has a gas stove, oven, fridge, microwave and all the necessary utensils. The lounge is comfortable and is equipped with a smart TV with full DStv access. Guests are welcome to sign into their own Netflix our YouTube account. We offer free Wi-Fi during your stay, that is capped at 10GB. We have no load shedding as we have invested in an inverter with back up batteries that keep the lights on and the Wi-Fi running when the power goes out. Outside is a seating area and braai facilities. The property is secured by an electric fence and access control with secure on-site parking for one vehicle offered free of charge for the duration of stay.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
