Picolo Nido has four bedrooms and can accommodate up to ten guests. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The other three bedrooms are each furnished with two single beds. There are two bathrooms, one is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin and the other is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering. The comfortable living room has an iron stove that can be used as a fireplace. There is a dining area and a sleeper couch that can accommodate two guests. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available and there is a TV with limited channels, a DVD player and radio. The TV has a USB port. Outside is a lovely wooden deck with views of the Maluti Mountains and braai facilities.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
