About Nelson Wine Estate

Nelson Wine Estate is a family owned estate that is located a mere 40 minutes from Cape Town in the foothills of the Paarl Mountain. Surrounded by vineyards and lush green lawns, our two beautiful venues each have their own style.

Paarl Accommodation

Nelson Wine Estate offer two types of accommodation units – standard overnight rooms and luxury suites.

Additional Facilities

All of the units lead out onto a large porch, whereas the suites' porch has an additional built in braai – an ideal facility for those wanting to socialize with a glass of our excellent wines.

Enjoy lavish sunsets and walks through the vineyards at daybreak, go for a morning swim in the crystal clear pool overlooking the Chardonnay vineyard or simply enjoy a cup of rich coffee on the patio while taking in the sights and sounds of the Cape Winelands the way it was meant to be experienced.

Venues

The Mountain View:
The Mountain View, biggest of the three venues and fully draped in white, has a spectacular view from its large windows and balcony of the Stellenbosch and Du Toitskloof Mountains. This venue can accommodate up to 350 guests, banquet style, with a dance floor and up to 700 conference delegates, schoolroom style.

The Lapa:
Entering from the wooden veranda, The Lapa Venue, also fully draped, can seat up to 110 guests, banquet style, with a dance floor and for corporate functions can accommodate up to 180 guests, schoolroom style. The Lapa overlooks the gardens and pool area.

The garden

The garden, partially covered with shade of age old oak trees, and with a huge pool, makes for beautiful outdoor ceremonies and receptions. It is also an idyllic setting for festivals and events.

Say your vows in our enchanted eucalyptus forest, a magical spot with ample parking and electricity. Regret - only available for ceremonies.

To make your wedding day even more special we have imported a Landau carriage from Holland which is drawn by beautiful Friesian horses that make for spectacular photographs and which we can be provide at very good rates.
