Accommodation

Kruger Hippo Retreat offers four bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen and a special private island, for wildlife viewing.

The retreat has four bedrooms accommodating a variety of sleeping arrangements. The main bedroom features a king-size bed and an upstairs loft with two single beds. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen-size bed, while the fourth bedroom, a separate honeymoon room located apart from the main house, is furnished with a king-size bed. All four bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi and seating areas, with views of the garden, swimming pool or dam. Selected rooms open onto private verandahs.

Each of the four bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Towels are provided.

Outdoor facilities include a swimming pool, garden, patio, outdoor furniture, braai facilities and a pizza oven. A bar and outdoor entertainment area provide additional space for dining and socialising.

The indoor living area features comfortable seating, a dining table, television with streaming services, Wi-Fi, a fireplace and air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, bar fridge, dishwasher, toaster, coffee and tea facilities, and essential kitchenware. The Private Island

Kruger Hippo Retreat can arrange Olifants River boat cruises and guided game drives in the Kruger National Park. Guests can look forward to wildlife viewing, birdwatching and the possibility of Big Five sightings. Selected tours include refreshments and collection and drop-off.
