The Honeybee Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Montagu sleeping four guests. The cottage has two bedrooms, each furnished with one Queen-size bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Towels and linen are provided as is everything you need for a comfortable self-catering break. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-plate gas stove, an electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery. There are an open-plan lounge and dining room with ample seating where guests can enjoy their meals together. The living area has a Dover stove, a closed wood-burning fireplace and a smart TV. It has a private garden with a terrace, dining furniture, braai facilities and a splash pool. Pets are welcome if arranged at the time of booking and at the owners discretion. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the splash pool.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
