Granny Smith @ Oak Lane is a self-catering cottage Elgin that comfortably accommodates a family or group of up to 7 people. This cottage has a bedroom furnished with a double bed and a second bedroom furnished with two single beds. There is a third bedroom furnished with a bunk bed and single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet and basin. The kitchen has a dining table where you can enjoy your meals and an indoor braai. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering and has a gas oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. All crockery, cutlery and glassware are supplied. Outside there is a patio and a garden area with braai facilities. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. The farm has a small play area for children with swings and a jungle gym.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
