Please read “Unacceptable”above. To be honest, I would have appreciated a bit more openness when we booked the cottage. The bathroom, which has no shower is situated off the second bedroom, so in order to use it, you have to walk through your fellow guest’s bedroom. Broken chairs, broken windows, a kitchen sink that did not drain properly, no latch on a bedroom door and no storage for a self catering cottage did not add to our comfort. We were subsequently told, only after enquiring, that there was a separate shower and toilet outside for our use. Overall, a very unenjoyable stay at a cottage badly in need of TLC, which is certainly not inexpensive. Not recommended at all. The only redeeming feature was the beauty of the Elgin valley itself!
