About Barford Haven

Barford Haven is a stately, attractively renovated building, comprising four spacious, fully equipped, self-catering apartments, each with their own private entrances. The treed and landscaped garden has ample off street parking, and the property is fully fenced.

The apartments are centrally located, near Hoy's Koppie and the historic Old Station Building. We are only a few minutes' walk from the sea front, the magnificent Marine Tidal Pool and the cliff paths, offering the best land-based whale watching in the world. The nearby village centre, with shops, restaurants, art galleries, drop-off laundromat, and the famous Saturday Craft Market are all within easy walking distance of the apartments.

Self Catering Accommodation

Each apartment sleeps between 2 - 4 guests. The apartments are beautifully decorated and furnished by the well-known hotelier, the late David Rawdon, and offer comfort and style.

The attractively appointed bedrooms have luxurious duvets in crisp cotton and we supply extra blankets and oil heaters for those chilly nights. There is a wall safe in each apartment. The elegant bathroom is fully tiled with bath, walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. Thick white towels, glycerine soap and basic toiletries are supplied.

The modern oak kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, a microwave, stove and double-door refrigerator and three apartments have a dishwasher. We supply detergents, dish washing powder and dishcloths. The open-plan lounge and dining room is stylish and comfortable and there is a TV with Mnet. The apartments are serviced daily, except on Sundays and certain public holidays.

The upstairs apartments have beautiful mountain views and one has a glimpse of the sea. These apartments have separate picnic/barbecue areas in the garden with built-in tables and chairs. The downstairs apartments each have a secluded patio with outdoor furniture, a portable barbecue, and an open veranda facing the secluded landscaped garden.

Apartment One (Downstairs):
Sleeps 2-3 people. It has one bedroom with a Queen-size bed, and a separate study with a single bed, opening onto an enclosed courtyard. There is an open plan lounge and dining room with garden views and French doors opening onto a veranda. The spacious bathroom is fully tiled and the oak kitchen is well equipped with stove, microwave, and double door fridge / freezer.

Apartment Two (Downstairs):
Sleeps 2-4 people. It has two bedrooms, one with a Queen-size bed, opening onto an enclosed courtyard, and the other with two single beds. There is an open plan lounge and dining room with garden views and French doors opening onto a veranda. The spacious bathroom is fully tiled and the oak kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave double door fridge / freezer and dishwasher.
