About Silvermist Vineyards
This 60 acre Mountain Lodge and Wine Estate can be found within the Table Mountain National Park on Constantia Nek. It is family-run and boasts delicious Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Their estate is the only organically certified wine estate in the Constantia Valley region with Gregory Brink Louw as winemaker. The slow ripening of grapes is ensured by the cool ocean breezes in the summer.
Visiting Silvermist is like going on holiday;its location is set within fields of fynbos and forests with wild animals and birds roaming within the national park. It overlooks the Loogklook Nature Reserve, Twelve Apostles Mountain Range, Constantia Valley and False Bay.
It is one of the new boutique wine makers who feature on The Constantia Wine Tour where four-wheel drive vehicles transport you around the valley and up the mountain vineyards for wine and superb views. International wine lovers are always amazed at the varieties of Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Loire, the Rhone and Rhine which can be found in this region.
