Doringdraad Kontrei Kuierplek is a place where friends and family meet, relax and enjoy the one-of-a-kind intrigue and beauty of Deben.
Hearty burgers, flame grilled streaks and more are best enjoyed with a glass of excellent South African wine, or an ice-cold beer. There are also a number of cocktails on offer for fun-loving folk that want to try something different. But, Doringdraad is famous for its gourmet Roosterkoek (dense and delicious bread that is cooked on the coals) and its craft beers. Live music is the perfect way to round off this real South African “jol”, while little ones will enjoy a donkey cart ride as their parents relax.
This rustic venue can be booked for weddings, corporate functions, celebrations and other events. It is simple and unpretentious, which only makes it more inviting for those looking to celebrate and showcase the raw, natural loveliness of South Africa and its people.
Doringdraad is situated in Dibeng (or Deben) in the Kalahari located only 25 km from Kathu, take the R380 Road and pass Sishen Airport. Dibeng is small and quaint, and is located just over two hours’ drive from Upington, and about six hours from Johannesburg.
