The Area

The town of Kuruman is also known as the "Oasis of the Kalahari", with its permanent supply of water from a spring that delivers 20 million litres of water. Known as The Eye of Kuruman, the spring is the key to very existence of the town of Kuruman, and the main tourist attraction in the town. Few have visited Kuruman without visiting the Eye of Kuruman natural spring. Kuruman is also surrounded by a number of mines, and this is the economic lifeblood of the region. Whether you are visiting Kuruman for business or for leisure purposes, you are sure to find a lot to do and see.
