About The Beerhouse Fourways

Craft beers are gaining more and more acclaim in South Africa as loyal beer drinkers are learning how wonderfully diverse and flavoursome they are. The Beerhouse is an institution in Long Street, Cape Town. However, it has stretched its wings and was extended to Fourways, Johannesburg, in 2014 in response to popular demand.

There are 20 different beers on tap here, as well as the famous 99 bottled varieties. Really, no matter what your preference, or even if you are not a keen beer drinker, there is sure to be something on the menu to tempt your taste buds and quench your thirst. In order to ensure that patrons receive efficient service, the waitrons are experienced and well-trained; passionate about their job and customers.

The menu extends beyond beer, though, and includes pizzas, salads, sandwiches and a selection of light lunch options. In keeping with the trend towards fresh and fun, these dishes are prepared using top-notch ingredients with a modern approach to cooking and presentation. A really popular feature of the Beerhouse is its official snack and beer pairing. Try raw toasted pistachios with Jack Black Pale Ale, cherries and Windermere Cider, strawberries with Cape Brewing Company Amber Weiss, Turkish mulberries with Lakeside Hefeweizen, or Chutney corn nuts and Mitchells 90 Schilling. These awesome combos bring out the best in both the food and the beer.

Those who want to try some traditional beers can look forward to English bitters, Belgian dubbels, Belgian tripels, and Scottish ales. There are also amber ales, fruit beers, stouts, strong old ales, and brown ales.

Live music performances add to the vibe, while this Beerhouse is also situated close to a number of Johannesburg’s top malls and entertainment hubs. It can be booked for larger groups too, and promises to be the perfect place for a party, teambuilding lunch or family get-together.
