The glitz and fast-paced glamour of Fourways in the heart of Sandton in Gauteng's powerhouse Johannesburg City, sets an unexpected scene for the tranquil greens of Adventure Golf. Three courses, each with nine holes, are the fantastic spots of choice for families wanting to escape the hum-drum of everyday life and share some excitement. These courses were established in 1998 and have been popular amongst young and young-at-heart alike ever since.

Verdant vegetation and serene ponds create an air of utter tranquillity and escape, despite the buzz of some of the continent’s best shopping just outside its borders. There are greens at various levels, and players will need to walk through the gorgeous exotic plants, past waterfalls, over log bridges and ravines, across streams on stepping stones, and amongst caves and boulders. Such magnificent surrounds are made even more magical as night falls and lighting creates an ethereal escape from the real world.

This is a fantastic place for families, kids’ parties and outings during the school holidays. The game can be played in groups of up to four people, and each game takes around half an hour to complete. The game tickets can be used on any of the three courses and are always valid.

Sandton is the shopping epicentre of Africa and promises visitors a world-class retail experience. It is well connected to the other main parts of Johannesburg as well as to the OR Tambo International Airport by the Gautrain. By car, the trip to the airport takes between 30 and 45 minutes, while Pretoria is just less than an hour away. During your time in Sandton, be sure to visit other popular attractions like Montecasino, SAB World of Beer, the enormous bronze statue of the late former-President Nelson Mandela, and the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens.
