  1. DAY 1: Johannesburg to Hazyview

Meet your guide at OR Tambo International in Johannesburg and drive through some of the most scenic areas of South Africa on our way to the start of our adventure which starts today!

We head off to our overnight accommodation which is tucked away in the heart of the picturesque Sabie Valley on the banks of the Sabie River called Kruger Park Lodge. We check in, drop our bags and then head off for something very special…

We drive for 15 minutes to an elephant sanctuary… The elephant interaction offers you the opportunity to feel their constantly curious trunks, touch their rough skin, exchange trunk greetings and offer tasty treats, while learning about their behaviour and history from the elephant handlers. We then go for a walk with these amazing creatures to give you an opportunity to experience how big these animals really are!

From here, we head back to our guest house and enjoy an amazing dinner at a local eatery.

    OVERNIGHT: Kruger Park Lodge

  2. DAY 2: Hazyview

Up early we make our way down the beautiful ridge to Gods Window – which is one of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve’s most spectacular viewpoints, with astonishing views over South Africa’s Lowveld. At God’s Window, majestic cliffs plunge down 2 300 feet and, on a cloudless day; you'll be able to see over the Kruger National Park towards the Lebombo Mountains on South Africa’s border Mozambique. From here we visit a few natural waterfalls and enjoy some traditional shopping.

After an amazing traditional breakfast on the river, we head up the ridge to visit Bourkes Luck Potholes - they're the result of decades of swirling eddies of water where the Treur River meets the Blyde River!

After a great day on the panorama route we head back down the ridge to Kruger Park Lodge and enjoy another evening together.

    OVERNIGHT: Kruger Park Lodge

  3. DAY 3: Hazyview to Kruger National Park

Up early, we head off 10 minutes down the road to the world renowned Kruger National Park in our own, private open game vehicle! The park is home to an amazing array of animals from the infamous BIG 5 to chameleons and over 500 species of birds!

We spend tonight at one of the southern camps sleeping in rustic, African style thatched bungalows overlooking the Sabie River with en-suite bathrooms. The south of the park is relatively wet and well-vegetated, and is the best region of the park for white rhino. Two large rivers dominate the area, the Sabie and Crocodile Rivers, and these attract large numbers of game and in turn predators such as lion and leopard. We’ll spend our time driving through the park, searching for these and other exciting species. Lunch and dinner will be enjoyed in a restaurant at one of the rest camp.

    OVERNIGHT: Kruger Park rest camp

  4. DAY 4: Southern Kruger Park to Hoedspruit

In the morning we get up early for another game drive and will stop after a few hours for coffee and a snack to allow us time to make the most of the early mornings viewing. It is a relaxed morning in the bush, no better way to start the day!

From there, we travel through the cultural heartland of Greater Kruger on our way to our first bush lodge of the trip!

The lodge is situated within the 12 400 acre Tshukudu Private Game Reserve. The Reserve boasts not only the Big 5 but also numerous antelope and over 270 species of bird-life.

Accommodation consists of two beautiful, African style safari tents with bathrooms en-suite, four thatched cottages and one detached family unit. The tents and cottages have air-conditioning and the family unit is equipped with fans

Each en-suite unit is equipped with a shower, minibar, coffee and tea-making facilities as well as a safe.

Dinner tonight will be enjoyed in a traditional African boma under the watchful eye of a million stars.

    OVERNIGHT: Private game lodge

  5. DAY 5: Hoedspruit

We’ll have some breakfast and then make our way to an animal rehabilitation center… This is home to many animals that have either been permanently injured or poisoned and cannot be released back into the wild. The center has won numerous awards and has been featured on National Geographic

After that we have some lunch and then drive back to our bush lodge for an awesome game drive and dinner.

    OVERNIGHT: Private game lodge

  6. DAY 6: Hoedspruit to Greater Kruger Park

Up early, we go for an early morning walk in the bush… This gives us a great opportunity to learn about the smaller things that call Africa home.

After a relaxed breakfast we travel to the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, a 148 000 acre (231 mi²) private conservancy that is open to Kruger National Park, allowing animals to roam freely. We’ll check into our exclusively private game lodge in time for lunch and have time to relax before our first afternoon safari, lead by an experienced field guide. The lodge is exclusive to just you and your friends, partner or family… Completely private, completely unique to Moriti Private Safaris.

Over and above the wonderful animals we are likely to see here, a true highlight will be observing how we track the big cats on an open safari vehicle and on foot.

Superb cuisine will be a highlight of the safari, prepared by our private chef, and all together this will add up to a truly awesome experience!

    OVERNIGHT: Klaserie Camps

  7. DAY 9: Greater Kruger Park to Airport of choice

After a last morning safari we will leave the reserve and head back to the airport in time for departures.
