Itinerary

  1. DAY 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

On entering Kruger Park, we spend the rest of the afternoon game viewing following the Sabie River which the animals move to in the afternoon to quench their thirst from the sun's heat.
On arrival at 'Skukuza', we check in for the night and prepare our BBQ safari dinner which is prepared and served under the stars.

  2. DAY 2: Kruger National Park

We rise at first light and after a quick cup of coffee / tea and some refreshments, we set off along the Sabie River and visit 'Lower Sabi' for breakfast. We now head northwards into the highlands and take a view from the Nkombi lookout.
In the afternoon we reach our overnight stop 'Satara', where we have a late lunch, check in and prepare for a safari game drive at sunset. During the drive, dinner will be prepared and on your return, we will eat out under the African stars.

  3. DAY 3: Kruger National Park to Johannesburg

It's another new day and this fresh beginning is marked by an early morning game drive. We start the day with a cup of tea / coffee and slowly make our way out of Kruger Park. On leaving the Park we head up the escarpment for a breakfast / brunch en-route and time permitting we take in the views of the Panorama and the Blyde River Canyon.

The safari was wonderful! My sister and I had a great time and this safari will probably be one of our lifetime vacation memories. After viewing my safari photos, my husband regrets his decision not to travel with us. Of the Big 5, we saw all but the leopard but may have seen some leopard tracks. The main highlight was on the night safari drive when we encountered eight lions lounging in the road. We were able to get within five to ten feet of them and they didn't seem to be bothered by us one bit. What an amazing experience. The Kruger guide said that he sees this maybe once every five years or so. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the safari and the service provided by your company. Our guide, Pierre, was very nice and knowledgeable and the accommodations in Kruger were also very nice - much nicer than we expected. I will definitely use Safari Rangers if I ever go on another South African safari and I will be sure to recommend you to anyone I know who may as well. Thanks, Tamara and Kelsey Szudzy
