Itinerary

1. DAY 1: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

   Drive through the beautiful vineyards of the Breede River Valley to Robertson and on to Barrydale. Travel along the famous Route 62 through the arid Little Karoo to Oudtshoorn. Visit an Ostrich Farm. Overnight Oudtshoorn.

   OVERNIGHT: Oudtshoorn.

2. DAY 2: Oudtshoorn to Knysna

   Visit the Cango Caves and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Over the Outeniqua Pass to George. Through Wilderness to Knysna. Visit the Knysna Heads. Overnight Knysna.

   OVERNIGHT: Knysna

3. DAY 3: Knysna

   Visit Plettenberg Bay. Onward to the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth. Visit either Monkeyland or Birds of Eden. Back through the forests to Knysna where we again overnight.

   OVERNIGHT: knysna

4. DAY 4: Knysna. to Cape Agulhas

   Drive to Mossel Bay where we visit the Diaz museum complex. Onward to Swellendam. Due south to Bredasdorp and Cape Agulhas. Visit the southernmost point of Africa. Overnight in the Cape Agulhas area.

   OVERNIGHT: Cape Agulhas

5. DAY 5: Cape Town

   Drive to Gansbaai, home of the Great White Shark. Visit the whale viewing cliffs. Onward to Hermanus. Whale watching in season. Drive the spectacular coastal road to Bettys Bay. Visit the penguin colony at Stony Point. Onward to Cape Town.
