Vosloorus, East Rand
The vibrant township of Vosloorus is part of Boksburg, a city on the East Rand of Gauteng, just outside Johannesburg. It is a neighbour to a number of other suburbs and townships, which combine to give South Africa the unique flavour and diversity for which it so well loved.
Vosloorus is the home of the Vosloorus Stadium, which hosts a number of exciting events every year. These include fun days, Spring Break celebrations, the Live in Colour picnic (which happens twice a year and attracts thousands of locals and visitors), and a number of races.
The township is also home to some shops, restaurants, and bars; adding to its non-stop vibe and convenience. Chris Hani Crossing is a well-equipped mall that is right in the heart of Vosloorus and includes more than 100 stores. Some of these include Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Truworths and Edgars.
More than this, the many different locals that call this home add to its diversity and multicultural appeal. This testifies to the beauty of the Rainbow Nation, as South Africa has become known.
Johannesburg CBD is only about 30 minutes away from Vosloorus, and the OR Tambo International Airport is about 20 minutes away.
