Wedding Seating ArrangementsThe Seating Arrangements:
If you are only having a small wedding, you may not need a whole seating arrangement. But if you are having a rather large amount of guests you may find that your planning will become a little easier if you have it all worked out. You have to ensure that there are enough seats for everyone and no one is left standing. Here are a few plans you can choose from;

• Assigning the guests to their tables and have their names at the location they need to sit, this prevents confusion and everyone will know where to go.
• No planning just let the guests sit down at any open seat they can find. This often brings about a bit of confusion and disruption.
• Have someone assign the guests to their tables but they choose where to sit. This option often works great but make sure they are with people they know and would like to sit with.

It is important that you do the seating arrangements properly. Put guests with their partners and the rest of their family. Do not separate them without them knowing it; they might not like that very much. This is why it is often best to let them choose their own seats, but in an orderly fashion. Having a head table is what happens at most weddings, this normally consists of the bride and groom in the middle, their parents, the best man, the maid or honour and bridesmaids. But you can be different and put everyone from the head table at normal tables like the guests and then have a romantic table just for the bride and groom to sit at.

Depending on how many guests you are going to have and how big the hall or room is, you may want to arrange the tables accordingly. Don’t put the tables too close together, but as far apart as the room allows. You should also look at the room and determine if you are going to use long or round tables or a bit of both. It would be nice to have a combination of round and long tables and then just position them where they fit.

It might take you a long time to organize the chart, and you will probably have to go over it a few times, but it is something that has to be done if you wish for the ceremony to run smoothly. You can do it the way it was done before, with pieces of paper with all the guests names on and use that to arrange the seating, but now there are also programs available that allow you to do it on your computer. Doing it this way will save you a lot of time and just make the whole deal easier.
