Butterfly Release at a WeddingThe All New Beautiful Butterfly Release: So many couples get married every year and they are always looking for something new, something that will make their wedding different from everyone else’s. It always used to be about throwing rice, that was the traditional thing to do, but now it is all about releasing butterflies! Yes, real butterflies to fly into the audience! Unlike rice, you won’t make a mess and well, rice isn’t really beautiful, but butterflies are! This feature will leave your guests flabbergasted and excited, but you must let no one know before hand; keep it to yourself until the big day!

When you order the butterflies, make sure that you are not just purchasing any old butterflies as it is best when they come from a proper butterfly farmer, who knows what he is doing with the insects. You cannot grow your own butterflies from caterpillars, it may sound easy but there is a lot you need to know in order to do so. Rather get them from somewhere that breeds them.

How and when you release them on your big day is up to you. You can let them go one at a time but that will take forever, and it will look nicer if they are released in large amounts at a time. If you want to do the group release of butterflies, four to five dozen will do the trick. But it all depends on the impression you would like to give the guests when they see all these butterflies! You can have more than 5 dozen or you can have less.

If you decide to release them all at the same time, you can put them in a box. The box is available in numerous colors, shapes and sizes so you can specify what you want. You could even make your own box or basket and put netting over it and pretty paper with decorations around it, whatever you want to do. But this information can be thoroughly discussed with the farmer from which you purchase your butterflies.

If you are contemplating doing the butterfly release at your wedding, know that you should only do this if the weather is warm. If it is raining you cannot release the butterflies as their wings can get damaged, the temperature must also not be below 65ºC, but this information you will have to find out from the breeder as it varies according to the type of butterfly. If it is raining, you can keep the butterflies in a cage and hang them somewhere, so they can still be seen but will not get damaged by the rain. There are many different things you can do with butterflies at your wedding; all ideas prove to be beneficial. Your guests will be talking about your wedding long after it has ended!
