Safari Weddings arranged by Outlook Africa
A country wedding with a difference, the safari wedding is a uniquely African experience which is growing in popularity. This option is especially attractive to overseas brides and grooms who have the opportunity to get married at a luxury game lodge for no more than the cost of a wedding at home. Outlook Africa are tour operators that can arrange all aspects of your wedding enabling you to relax and enjoy your special day.
A safari wedding offers the wedding party an unforgettable experience. The wedding ceremony can be held in a bush location with wild game as uninvited guests, or in a starlit boma at night or on a deck overlooking a river or waterhole. The wedding ceremony, reception and first night can all take place at one location. The bride and groom can still enjoy seclusion and romance with every need met and every wish catered for.
Legal Requirements
Anyone who is holidaying in South Africa and has the romantic urge to marry will be pleased to know that it is possible for non-South African residents to marry in South Africa provided that they satisfy the formal requirements necessary for the marriage ceremony. However, the law which governs the marriage of the parties would be the law of their residence at the time they were married. For instance, if a couple from England choose to marry in South Africa, they would be able to validly conduct the marriage ceremony in South Africa but their marriage would be governed by the laws of England.
Unique Locations
There are many to chose from and Outlook Africa will offer you choices that suit your pocket and your fantasies. We have done VIP weddings for ministers in other African countries, have experience with political protocol and are known to be amazing in Zambia and other countries.
South Africa
South Africa is a multi-cultural country well known for its multitude of game reserves and the greatest diversity of wildlife in the world. You can visit the private concessions within the world renowned Kruger National Park or one of the many private reserves bordering the park, malaria free areas such as the Waterberg, Pilanesberg and Madikwe Game Reserves, Hluhluwe, Mkuze, Timbavati, Thornybush, Sabi Sand - the choice is endless. There are also numerous smaller private game reserves throughout the country which offer the same high standard of accommodation and service.
Wherever you choose to go you will enjoy excellent game viewing. You are quite likely to see the big five - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. You can enjoy the excitement of four wheel driving through the bush in pursuit of wild game. Go Rhino tracking on foot or simply enjoy the wealth of knowledge about the plants, animals and birds that experienced Game Rangers will share with you.
Food
The thing you will remember about the food is not only the quantity but also the quaity. You will enjoy five star cuisine with a pan African flavour. Take the opportunity to sample wild game. Your day starts with early morning coffee and biscuits followed by a three hour game drive with more coffee and biscuits or muffins. Then you return to camp for a hearty breakfast. After that you will have lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and snacks on the evening game drive and, to top it all off, a three course dinner. You will need to go for a guided game walk to compensate for the endless round of excellent food.
Safari honeymoons
Enjoy your wedding at home with family and friends and then take off for the honeymoon of a lifetime. Visit unspoilt landscapes teaming with game. Take the opportunity to experience other cultures. Enjoy privacy, seclusion and romance. Staff at the camps will go out of their way to make your honeymoon a special experience. They are renowned for their attention to detail and extra special service.
Enjoy private meals on your deck or a romantic bush dinner under the stars or a candle lit bath strewn with rose petals. Lie in bed at night in your luxury lodge or tent and listen to the sounds of the African bush - the call of the nightjar, the eerie sound of a hyena or even the roar of a lion. Once you have experienced the beauty and magic of an African safari, you will want to return for many years to come.
