If you are reading this, then you are probably a meticulous and well-organised person, and in the process of ensuring that all aspects of your wedding are planned to perfection. You realise that photography can’t be left to chance, since it is the one lasting memory of your wedding day that cannot be recaptured at a later stage.

Wedding Photography

Using the services of a professional and experienced photographer like Nico will enhance the quality of your pictures and reduce the risk of ending up with a wedding album full of snapshots taken by friends and family with their digital cameras and mobile phones, but without much mood, atmosphere, or spirit associated with the pictures.

The latter three aspects of your wedding are after all what most couples strive to offer their distinguished guests. And most go quite a long way to achieve the same by means of carefully selecting the venue, the décor elements, what you are going to wear, etc., - in such a way that it will match your character and personal taste.

Nico’s wedding photography is about capturing your spirit, in the environment that you have created, in a non-obtrusive manner, adjusting for the complexities of lighting conditions that might prevail at the time. That is what you pay for - not for fancy albums or masses of prints. Just good, professional service. From getting dressed until the last formalities at your reception.

Pictures are provided on CD as hi-res images, enhanced for optimal printing quality at a photo lab near you. You are therefore left in full control of making future prints or copies, and the quantities and print sizes that you might require.

TIPS TO ENHANCE YOUR EXPERIENCE

Late afternoon light is best for wedding photographs. The ideal is to have about ninety minutes available after your ceremony until sunset. If you can't get the timing right, then it is not a train-smash - your photographer should be able to adjust to all lighting conditions!

Compile a list of group photographs to be taken, and ask the best man to assist the photographer in calling the groups together. Do the group pictures directly after the ceremony for best convenience. Ask the bridesmaids to keep powder and lip gloss at hand for touching up when needed, especially on a hot day.

Ask your photographer for stylish hardbound wedding book options. These are very fashionable alternatives to clumsy traditional wedding albums and last much longer. You can always have the book done at a later stage.
