Elbeth Gillis’s name has become synonymous with the exquisite bridal gowns she creates for her discerning client base; establishing herself as a well respected designer for the past decade. She has distinguished herself from other wedding dress couturiers by having one of the largest ready-to-wear wedding dress collections and offering couture gowns, which exude classic sophistication and beauty.

Having firmly entrenched her name in the bridal industry, Elbeth has also expanded her lines to include evening couture as well as her passion – a vintage collection. She collects and restores vintage garments, including vintage wedding gowns, in her free time; dedicating time and attention to detail and finishing. Her Cape Town studio is based in the heart of what is fast becoming the designer district, where she makes the dreams of hundreds of brides come true.

About Elbeth

Elbeth is a highly qualified designer who has been in the industry since 1990 and has a 3-year fashion diploma at the Cape Tech. Since 1997 she has specialised in made-to-measure bridal and eveningwear. Elbeth's style is characterised by her soft, feminine and sophisticated designs. She uses simple shapes and elegant lines to create timeless dresses, which ensure the emphasis is on making you look at your best.

With her knowledge of garment construction and design, years of experience and significant tailoring skills, Elbeth creates understated and stylish garments that are beautifully made and fitted. Whatever your concerns and worries, or hopes and dreams, Elbeth and her team are there to make sure that you're comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.

Elbeth designs and creates one-off bridal gowns, made from scratch around your style, vision and body type. Each gown is unique and there will be no other like it. All patterns are individually drafted from scratch and a mock-up of your dress will be made to ensure that your gown will be a perfect fit for you and only you.

Start by sending us a query or picture via email, with some of your ideas or browse through one of our collections. Let us know which dress or design elements you like, as this is only a sample of the many dresses we have made. We'll will reply to any queries or concerns usually within 1 day and give you a rough indication of price and availability.
