Timeless design meets sophisticated style; the Elbeth Gillis brand is the hallmark of all that is feminine, as eternal and inspiring as the union of marriage itself. Now the bridal couturier is taking the next step, bringing together the classic tailoring and attention to detail of bridal wear to the world of ready-to-wear fashion.
Founded in 1997, the Elbeth Gillis brand has emerged as the preeminent house of bridal couture. Driven by an unrivaled degree of quality and subtle sensuality, each dress is a journey; from fabrics sourced internationally to original designs to the personal touches, every dress is as unique as the bride who wears it.
As the head of her eponymous brand, Elbeth embodies the same virtues that her brides find in their dresses - style, charm, and uncompromising class. With a three-year fashion diploma from The Cape Peninsula University of Technology behind her, as well as twenty years experience in the industry, Elbeth's work is testament to her talent in creating the perfect garment.
Encouraged by the overwhelming support of the industry and her clientele, Elbeth Gillis is expanding her brand beyond bridal to the world of luxury ready-to-wear and evening couture. Opening with a cocktail collection, as well as collaborating with luxury industry partners, the Elbeth Gillis brand will be expanding like never before.
Yet, even in these times of change, Elbeth Gillis will never forget that the real triumph is, and will always be, in producing the finest quality hand-made garments that dreams are made of.
The first step to having your perfect dress made is a simple call away. Book a consultation with the designer at her studio where you can share your ideas, your hopes for the dress, and your plans for the future at no obligation. Elbeth will also share her experience with you and take you through the different collections. We charge a R250 consultation fee.
All of our dresses are made bespoke in-house and cost from R6000 to R20 000. Hereafter, the studio requires four to six weeks to produce your unique garment. As it will be made-to-measure the bride-to-be will be consulted at every stage of the process.
Elbeth Gillis also caters to prospective clients outside of Cape Town. Should you wish to contact the designer with your queries or ideas, simply start by sending an email to the studio and we'll follow-up with you from there. Should you be coming to Cape Town at any point during the production of the dress it is advised to make a physical appointment during your stay to ensure the garment is to your liking. If not, the studio will keep you updated at every step to ensure that you are completely satisfied.
