Grahamstown Accommodation / Yellow Piano @ Burg Lengeling Grahamstown Accommodation / Bed & Breakfast Inn in Grahamstown

Visit us in the beautiful nature of Manley Flats, on the bohemian side of Grahamstown, just 20km from the city centre and relax in an atmosphere of love, art and magic.

Accommodation

We are still creating and constructing, but we do already offer the following:
Accommodation is in cottages on our farm, which is surrounded by a game fence. Watch our springbok, zebras and donkeys from closeby or take a walk to the riverside and enjoy nature and wildlife. At night you can stargaze and listen to the sounds of the crickets and other nocturnal creatures.

If it is too cold, you can warm up yourself at a fireplace and sip a bonewarming Glühwein. If it is to hot, you can take a refreshing dip in the pool. If you are tired, you retire to your room. Your car will rest safely in closest proximity.

The Cottages

The Afrique Cottage
The Afrique cottage is sheltered by large plants, which make a cozy patio garden. It is furnished in "spartan meets afro-kitsch" style and has two connected rooms, one with twin beds, and the other with a single bed. There is an en-suite toilet and basin with shower facilities in the big bathhouse. The cottage has a TV and tea and coffee facilities are provided.

The Out-in-Africa Cottage
The Out-in-Africa cottage is furnished in a somewhat colonial style with the most impressive feature being the bottle window showing a springbok and a stunning view of nature. However, if nature is not enough, there is a TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. This very romantic cottage has a double bed and a divan in a spacious room. The en-suite bathroom has a toilet, basin and cold shower. Hot showers are in the big bathhouse just across the lawn.

The Monastery Cottage
This cottage is furnished with six single beds in a spacious room with gothic style bottle windows.

Dining

Restaurant and Country Venue: Our restaurant and country venue is fully licensed and opens on weekends and on request. A spacious hall, which can open wide to the garden, houses the bright Yellow 1938 Wurlitzer Butterfly Grand Piano, done in Great Art Deco Streamline Style, and which is our well-known trademark. In the hall you can enjoy an exquisite Sunday lunch or dine fine, laze some time upstairs on the green lounge on the loft or you can frequent the bar and contemplate about the huge bottle window depicting a pea-cocktail.

Our food is home cooked using the best ingredients and is cooked with pleasure. Pescatarians, vegetarians, vegans as well as meat munchers will get their fill. For breakfast you can choose between an English breakfast, toast and sandwiches, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, omelette, pancakes, pap, porridge or more.

For dinner we offer a set menu, which is prepared to the requirements of our valued guests and availability in season. You can get something hearty or something finicky, but always something wholesome. We love food and cooking and we do not use MSG, margarine or microwaves!
