Come and enjoy a peaceful breakaway at "The Farm House", the main homestead on the farm Wycombevale, situated 12 km from the Nanaga turn-off towards Alexandria on the R72 which is part of the Sunshine Coast.

"The Farm House" is centrally situated in elephant country (with the Big 5 and the Big 7), for guests wanting to visit the malaria free Game Reserves of the Eastern Cape such as The Addo Elephant Park, Schotia Safari's, Amakhala Game Reserve, Safari Lodge and lots more.

The original house was restored by the owners -Hilgard and Rianda van Niekerk. It has beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings with thick walls and an all around 'stoep' where you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or tea and a sundowner. The dining room can seat 16 people to enjoy homemade breakfasts and dinners from the farm kitchen, made with love and fresh ingredients from the veggie garden.

ACCOMMODATION

The Farm House consists of a very spacious cottage in the garden. The air-conditioned Rosie Red Cottage is beautifully decorated with its own en-suite bathroom, private verandah and entrance, It is equipped with a TV, coffee and tea facilities and a bar fridge. Condiments, a microwave as well as cutlery and plates are provided. It has a double bed, cot and bunk beds (available for children). Two single beds are also available if you prefer.

BREAKFAST & DINING

The Farm House is famous for its farm style food such as “roosterkoeke” and Malva pudding. Breakfast and delicious suppers are served from the farm kitchen, created with love, care and fresh ingredients. You can also choose to enjoy your own private braai outside of your stoep, The Farm House will provide the wood while you enjoy the stars! Nanaga Farm stall is only 12km from The Farm House and Oakley Barrel Bars is 25km where you can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast or light lunch.

THE FARM

The farm is a working dairy farm, with dairy cows and a few beef cattle. Guests can enjoy watching the animals, see how the dairy works, help feed the calves and have a walk around the farm. The farm has different birds to watch and enjoy and also bushbuck, duiker and kudu. The farm also plants chicory which is an ingredient that is used to produce coffee. Children can play around in the safe surroundings of the playground, help feed the animals and take out eggs from the chickens! There is also a splash pool for those hot summer days and long and relaxing grass for the kids to play on. This is an ideal getaway for families wanting to get away from it all and enjoy some family time.
