Situated in the picturesque country town of Sabie, the heart of the Panorama Scenic Route, Lone Creek River Lodge opened its doors in 1997 offering their guests a peaceful and warm welcome in an ambience complimented by tranquil surroundings.
Surrounded by unspoiled forests, mountain streams and waterfalls, Lone Creek River Lodge offers comfortable and luxurious accommodation in the heart of the Drakensberg Escarpment, easily accessible from all major routes.
Local and international guests have a choice between three types of luxury accommodation, fully-serviced river rooms and suites or self catering timber cottages, all capturing their romantic surroundings. We have a restaurant and licensed bar on the premises which offer breakfast, light lunches and full dinners prepared by our qualified chef.
River Suites:
Eight suites, with rosewood cupboards, Italian tiles and hand painted basins, reflect the ultimate in luxury accommodation. The perfect choice for honeymooners or busy executives. These suites are situated on the banks of the Sabie River. Each of these suites also have a separate lounge with open log fireplace, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, French doors with patio overlooking the Sabie River, forests and mountains , a telephone, linen and amenities , secure parking. Included are two family suites that can each accommodate a family of four.
River Rooms:
Five tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with its own balcony, overlooking the fresh water pool, the Sabie River and the beautifully landscaped gardens These rooms are part of the main Manor House each having a private balcony, en-suite bathrooms (bath and separate shower), linen and all amenities, over-head fans, heaters, telephones and secure parking.
Timber Lodges:
The double storey timber lodges built in an Aspen-style consists of four units each: two downstairs (B-units, suitable for two guests) and two upstairs units (A-units, suitable for a family of four or five).
The A-units (upstairs) have fully equipped kitchens with all cutlery and crockery, wooden decks with a built-in braai (barbeque), en-suite bathrooms (bath and shower), loft room with twin beds, all linen and amenities, open log fireplace, fully serviced units and secure undercover parking.
The B-units (downstairs) have a small kitchenette with microwave oven and bar fridge (no stove), cutlery and crockery, portable braaier (no deck), en-suite bathroom with either a shower or a bath , all linen and amenities , open log fireplace and secure undercover parking.
Both of these unit types overlook the sparkling rock pool. The Timber Lodges and the main Manor House are located on either side of the scenic road leading to the Lone Creek, Bridal Veil and Horse Shoe Falls.
Consider our venue a perfect location for your wedding day, exchanging vows in our gothic chapel, taking beautiful photo's in our garden and relaxing at your reception while our team takes care of every detail.
