DIRECTIONS
From Johannesburg
Take the M1 North and just before reaching Pretoria, take the Pietersburg turnoff and follow the signposts to Witbank and the N4. Pass Witbank and continue to Middleburg.
From the centre of Johannesburg
Take the R22 (N12) to Benoni and pass Witbank and continue to Middleburg. Proceed on the highway past Belfast, Machadodorp, Waterval Boven and Nelspruit. take the R40 to White River (Witrivier). Continue straight down the main road of the town until you reach the traffic lights at the First National Bank, where you must turn left and continue out of town towards Hazyview. Proceed along this road (R40) until you reach Hazyview. Just before reaching the town, you will go down a steep hill towards a T-junction where you must turn left. Proceed through Hazy view until you reach a four way stop with a thatched shopping centre on your right. Turn right here at the Kruger Gate sign, this is the R536, and continue along this road for approximately 34,5km.
At this point there is a sign on the left showing Private Game Lodges/Reserves, namely EXETER, IDUBE, INYATI and ULUSABA. Just beyond this first sign there is a large lodge signboard and various smaller signs at the turnoff to the left onto the gravel road. This gravel road does have some potholes and corrugations, please drive carefully. Follow the Private Lodge/Reserve signs for approximately 12km, after which you will arrive at the Newington Gate entrance of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Please note: an entry fee in cash is payable at the gate.
Once inside the reserve, follow the Inyati signs for approximately 12km to the lodge.
