We offer accommodation in a six sleeper self-catering thatch cottage at The Fairways, a Gold Crown resort, situated within the Drakensberg Gardens Golf and Leisure resort. It borders on 860 acres of World Heritage Site and has spectacular views of the only 18 hole golf course in the Southern Drakensberg (Glengarry Golf Club).AccommodationThe cottage (sleeps 6) has stylish decor, a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, washing machine and tumble drier, limited DsTV, individual braai (BBQ) facilities, telephone and all of the luxuries of home. The open plan living area leads out to the undercover patio with table and chairs. Linen is provided, including towels. The cottage is serviced from Monday to Saturday. Should you require a Sunday / Public holiday service, this can be arranged at a nominal fee. Accessibility: There are steps from the parking area to the cottage, 3 steps down from the kitchen / dining room area to the lounge, and steps up to the loft bedroom. DiningThere are four restaurants on site which offer dining experiences such as a la carte, buffet / carvery, club house and a bistro for lighter meals. There is a large patio outside the Drakensberg Gardens Hotel where one can relax, enjoy a meal or drink and the stunning view. There are a number of pubs on-site which include a sports bar for snooker, darts and large screen TV. There is also a mini-superette for your convenience (limited hours) as well as a convenience store located 3 Km from the resort entrance. Children’s EntertainmentThe children are catered for with a mini animal farm, pony rides, trampolines and a playground. They can also join in the fun of the daily entertainment programme or enjoy indoor arcade games, snooker, table tennis or videos. FacilitiesGuests have access to all of the facilities offered by the Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Leisure Resort - the normal fees will be charged per activity. There is also a central swimming pool area for your relaxation and enjoyment. Enjoy a game of golf at the Glengarry Golf course. The course can be walked, but golf carts are available for hire if you prefer. Relax after your game at the Glengarry Golf Club, overlooking the lake. Golf lessons can also be arranged – please ask at the Hotel reception.
