On entering this 3-bedroomed Sea Cottage, the overwhelming feeling is of light and space. Sea birds wheel overhead, seals, otters and penguins play around in the rocks and whales and dolphins come to calve in the safe haven of the bay right below the terrace. Best of all, you don't have to sacrifice comfort for nature in this peaceful cottage!

Castle Rock’s tranquil, romantic, rejuvenating and inspiring beauty is ideal for seaside holidays, honeymooners, nature and aqua enthusiasts for long or short periods of time. Though Castle Rock is self-catering and an oasis of privacy, it is maintained at all times by a courteous and professional staff.

Start your day by celebrating the Sunrise on the Sea Terrace, a stone’s throw away from the shimmering blue Indian Ocean set amidst and indigenous garden. Enjoy a your breakfast around the 8 seater table while spotting whales, birds, dolphins and seals in the Bay. You may even have an extra guest join you, Eric, the local tame Baboon!

Spend the day hiking, scuba diving, swimming or lounging around on the terrace deck chairs or cozy sofa with a book in the sea facing Living Area, which leads out onto the terrace. Enjoy evening cocktails from the Bar Area and watch the sky change colours at sundown over the Indian Ocean.

For your culinary urges, Castle Rock offers a gourmet kitchen stocked with cutlery and crockery to serve up to 10 people. The open plan Dining Area is a space to share and reflect on the day amongst family and friends. After, dinner how about a game of pool? The upstairs mezzanine Games Room is spacious enough for all to enjoy.

The main bedroom, features a double sized bed, separate dressing room, built in cupboards, ensuite bathroom, and boasts gorgeous views of False Bay.

Albatross Room:
The second bedroom features twin beds, built in cupboards, partial sea views and shared bathroom.

Fynbos Room:
The third bedroom features twin beds, built in cupboards and shared bathroom.

Games Rooms:
Although this is not an official bedroom room, there are 2 futon coaches which may be used for larger groups

Castle Rock is perched on the sea cliffs in a private conservation area between Simons Town and Cape Point, a 10 minute drive from either side. The cottage is situated a stones throw away from the Indian Ocean and within 5 minutes walk to a secluded beach.

Simons Town, with its quaint lanes, renowned restaurants and famous Boulders Beach Penguin Colony is a ten minute cycle away, and along the way you'll encounter endless cove beaches with warmer Cape turquoise water and white sands. This Cape Town sea cottage is set in an area famous for its colourful soft coral scuba dives and the best sea bathing in Cape Town.

Nearby activities include hiking, diving, biking, boating, fishing, horse riding and more.
