Amberley House is a stunning holiday home, ideally suited for families or large groups. Whether you are enjoying the views across false bay from one of the bedrooms, or from the jacuzzi on the balcony, it is designed to give a unique holiday experience never to be forgotten. Only 5 minutes walk from the world famous penguin colony at boulders beach, and yet only 2 minutes walk from a private "secluded" beach away from the crowds, Amberley House is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world! AccommodationAmberley House has 4-5 bedrooms and sleeps 8 to 10 guests comfortably. This includes a self contained flat upstairs which can be locked off with its own access, or part of the house - ideal for grandparents or kids. The house has a "Cape Cod" style, and is very light and open, giving it a very calm and peaceful vibe. The Main House This consists of a large master bedroom, en suite with views over the bay. Another room with two queen beds, and a third bunk-bed room, again en-suite. There is also a separate guest toilet and bathroom downstairs. Downstairs there is also a large open plan lounge and dining room, which goes out to a large balcony with a Jacuzzi on it. The dining table inside seats 8, and there is also dining on the balcony for another 8. The lounge also has full TV / DVD Stereo system. The modern kitchen opens into the living area, and is fully fitted with new equipment, including dishwasher, ice-machine etc, and has large marble surfaces and a breakfast bar. The Upstairs Flat This has separate access from outside, and consists of a stunning master bedroom, with its own balcony with amazing views over False Bay. There is a separate bathroom / shower / toilet, and a lounge / kitchen with again its own balcony at the back- this has a sofa bed, so can also become the 5th bedroom. There is a laundry room upstairs - with all linen, towels and beach towels provided. There is also a beach store under the balcony, with everything to entertain kids for the day one of the beaches. FacilitiesThe lounge is has a full TV/stereo/DVD system, and opens out onto the balcony where 8-10 can dine al fresco. The Jacuzzi is also on this balcony, and then walk down a level to the lower balcony with the braai and lawn. At the back of the house there is a shaded lawn and a reading bench and hammock for those peaceful afternoons. There is a garage for one car, and parking is fine in front of the house on the road, or on a side road just round the corner. Up to 4 can park in front of the house easily. ServicesSimons Town is one of the safest places in the whole of South Africa, but for peace of mind we have an alarm, as well as a buzzer for the main gate entrance. Other available services include, airport pickup, house keeping, full laundry service and full breakfast service. Just about anything can be arranged within reason – so just ask! Location & AttractionsAmberley House is a 2 minute walk from the beach and only a 4 minute drive into the heart of the historic Simons Town with its charming restaurants and gallery’s. It is also a stone’s throw from a 7-11, which can prove very handy. The penguin colony is literally a 5 minute walk away, as is Simons Town Golf, tennis courts, and squash courts. We can organise special access to the Naval open air pool and toddlers pool, and it is only a short stroll to the tidal pool. Amberley House is perfectly situated to explore the Cape, whether its whale watching off Cape Point only 15 minutes drive away, buying fresh fish to braai straight off the boats in Kalk Bay, or horse riding on the beach in Noordhoek, there is something for everyone in Simons Town. Further afield, Cape Town is only a 40 minute drive away, and the beautiful wine growing areas around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are 2 hours away, so easily possible for a day trip. ACCREDITATIONS
