Amberley House is a stunning holiday home, ideally suited for families or large groups. Whether you are enjoying the views across False Bay from one of the bedrooms, or from the jacuzzi on the balcony, it is designed to give a unique holiday experience never to be forgotten.

Only five minutes walk from the world famous penguin colony at boulders beach, and yet only two minutes walk from a private "secluded" beach away from the crowds, Amberley House is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world!

Accommodation

Amberley House has 4-5 bedrooms and sleeps 8 to 10 guests comfortably. This includes a self contained flat upstairs which can be locked off with its own access, or remain part of the house - ideal for grandparents or kids. The house has a "Cape Cod" style, and is very light and open, giving it a very calm and peaceful vibe.

THE MAIN HOUSE
This consists of a large master bedroom, en suite with views over the bay. Another room with two queen beds, and a third bunk-bed room, again en-suite. There is also a separate guest toilet and bathroom downstairs.

Downstairs there is a large open plan lounge and dining room, which opens out to a large balcony with a Jacuzzi. The dining table inside seats eight, and there is also dining on the balcony for another eight. The lounge also has full TV / DVD Stereo system.

The modern kitchen opens into the living area, and is fully fitted and equipped with everything you will need for a great self-catering experience. There is a convenience store just a few minutes away for all your daily needs. The nearest shopping mall is dishwasher, washing machine,

THE UPSTAIRS FLAT
This has separate access from outside, and consists of a stunning master bedroom, with its own balcony with amazing views over False Bay. There is a separate bathroom / shower / toilet, and a lounge / kitchen with again its own balcony at the back. We have three snooza ottomans here which allow the room to be used as a play room in the day and sleep room at night. There is a bar fridge, cooker, kettle, microwave, TV so all in all a great den for the kids.

Facilities

The lounge has a full DSTV/stereo/DVD system, and opens out onto the balcony where 8-10 can dine al fresco. The Jacuzzi is also on this balcony, and then walk down a level to the lower balcony with a built in braai area, separate Weber and a paved area where you can relax and enjoy the sea air.

At the back of the house there is a shaded lawn and a reading bench with a trampoline for the kids. There is a garage for one car, and safe parking in front of the house on the road, or on a side road just round the corner. Up to 4 vehicles can park in front of the house.

Services

Simons Town is one of the safest places in the whole of South Africa, but for peace of mind we have an alarm, as well as a buzzer for the main gate entrance.

Other available services include, airport pickup, house keeping, full laundry service and continental breakfast service. Just about anything can be arranged within reason – so just ask!

Location & Attractions

Amberley House is a two minute walk from the beach and only a four minute drive or 10 minute walk into the heart of the historic Simons Town with its charming restaurants, second hand shops, museums and gallery’s. The penguin colony is literally a five minute walk away, as is Simons Town Golf, tennis courts, and squash courts.

Amberley House is perfectly situated to explore the Cape, whether its whale watching off Cape Point only 15 minutes drive away, buying fresh fish to braai straight off the boats in Kalk Bay, or horse riding on the beach in Noordhoek, there is something for everyone in the deep south.

Further afield, Cape Town centre is only a 40 minute drive away, and the beautiful wine growing areas around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are less than 2 hours away, so easily possible for a day trip.
