DESCRIPTION:

Pestana Kruger Lodge is just 150 meters away from the most important entrance on the south side of the Kruger National Park - Malelane Gate - and is the ideal place for the whole family.

Pestana Kruger Lodge is located on the Nkomazi Tourist Route, The Wild Frontier, in Mpumalanga. The Hotel is set amongst wonderful gardens and has a fantastic view over the Crocodile River where hippos and other wildlife abound. The Crocodile River borders the Kruger National Park.

The Kruger National Park has almost 2,000 km of roads and 6 permanent rivers that cross the savannah within the park. It is home to a vast number of different animals and countless species of all kinds. It is the habitat of countless species, and tourists here will have the ideal opportunity to observe at close quarters the "Big 5" - the Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhinoceros, not to mention 336 types of tree, 49 species of fish, 114 types of reptiles and 507 species of birds, and innumerable giraffe, monkeys, zebras and antelopes.

The Lodge is a wonderfully relaxing location where you will scarcely hear the animals but have the opportunity to be surrounded by Nature.

ACCOMMODATION

The Pestana Kruger Lodge has a total of 74 rooms, with views over the river or the gardens.

Standard Rooms:
32 Standard rooms (8 smoking and 24 non-smoking) with a garden view and equipped with: Twin Beds - 2 person maximum, Air conditioning, Television - DSTV, Tea and coffee making facilities, Shower, Hairdryer, Wall safes, Mosquito Repellent and Insect Spray. Mini bars on request.

Executive Rooms:
10 Executive rooms with the Crocodile River view and equipped with: King Bed - 2 person maximum, Air conditioning, Television - DSTV, Tea and coffee making facilities, Telephone, Shower and bath, Hairdryer, Wall safes, Mosquito Repellent and Insect Spray and Mini bars.

Family Rooms:
30 Family rooms with a garden view and equipped with: King Bed and a sleeper couch - Sleeps 2 Adults and 2 Children, Air conditioning, Television - DSTV, Tea and coffee making facilities, Telephone, Shower and bath, Hairdryer, Wall safes, Mosquito Repellent and Insect Spray, Mini bars on request. 1 unit is custom designed as a paraplegic unit.

Suites:
2 Suites rooms with a garden view and equipped with: 2 bedrooms with king-size Bed - 4 person maximum, 2 bathrooms, Air conditioning, Television - DSTV, Tea and coffee making facilities, Telephone, Shower and bath, Hairdryer, Wall safes, Mosquito Repellent and Insect Spray and Mini bars.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS

Buhlebethu Restaurant:
This is the restaurant located in the Lodge and has a view of the Crocodile River. It is truly a unique setting with a magnificent view over the river and luxuriant vegetation where game can be viewed while dining. It is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering “À La Carte” service with contemporary South African cuisine. Breakfast packs are available on request for those setting off early in the day.

Crocafellas Restaurant:
Situated at the entrance to the Pestana Kruger Lodge with a capacity for 120 persons. The restaurant is located over the water inhabited by 7 crocodiles. It is open from 9h30 to 18h30, from Tuesday to Sunday and offers an African Bistro Style Menu. Dinner is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Evenings. This venue may be booked for private functions.

“Boma”:
This is an outdoor experience you cannot miss!! The “Boma” is an African tradition that offers a typical dinner in an outdoor setting, served around the campfire. These meals must be requested in advance and can be ordered for a minimum of 20 people up to a maximum of 150.

Eshonalanga Bar:
Open daily from 10:00 to 24:00. Sip an exotic cocktail while watching the sunset, in the bar or view deck while the game come to drink at the Crocodile River.

Pool Bar:
Open daily in summer from 10:00 to 17:00 serving light meals and drinks.

CONFERENCES & FUNCTIONS

Pestana Kruger Lodge is the ideal place for any of your events. Prepared to accommodate conferences, Team-building exercises, weddings or any other special occasion, the Lodge offers you a complete service in a perfect setting. The conference area offers 4 conference rooms - Impala A, Impala B, Nyala and Kudu. The largest conference room has 113 square metres and can accommodate up to 150 delegates.
