Surrounded by mountains near and far, set high on a granite rock plateau overlooking the Sabie Valley with the Sabie River rapids cascading through our property, which is situated on the Sabie / Hazyview Road. ACCOMMODATIONLion's Rock Golf Lodge has seven luxury chalets, beautifully appointed, each with spa-bath in spacious bathroom; king bed / twin beds if required; microwave oven; bar-fridge; complimentary tea / coffee; lounge suite; DVD viewing in chalet; and your own private swimming pool off veranda with stunning views. All chalets have DStv. All chalets have spa-baths, splash pools and verandahs with views. BREAKFAST & DININGIncluded in the rate is a generous Full English Breakfast. Fruit which is grown on the property is sometimes provided. There is a restaurant across the road and others within 3 km. Also there are a number of casual meals at local Farm Pubs, coffee shops nearby, and many places to dine in Hazyview just five minutes away. GOLFUnlimited golf on our 9 hole par 3 golf course - the longest fairway being approximately 210 metres, but challenging, with ladies and mens tee boxes and one green overlooking the Sabie River. ADDITIONAL FACILITIESTheatre Room, adjacent to the Golf Bar, has a big screen for viewing DStv/ M Net Sport, and movies of your choice from our library of DVDs. Massages and beauty treatments by appointment, in the privacy of your own chalet, or alternatively be pampered with massages on the river banks to the sound of laughing waters. Golf cart for hire, either with golf, or take a ride down to the Sabie River rapids where picnics, small wildlife and bird watching may be enjoyed. Fishing in the river or dams at Lions Rock is available. Bring your fishing tackle and catch Yellow Tail, Black Bass, and more. ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIESThe world famous Kruger National Park is ideal for self-drive day trips; entering the Phabeni Gate only 15 minutes from the lodge. Close proximity to Lowveld Panorama Route, not to be missed, such as God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrims Rest, African Cultural Village, and other beautiful waterfalls and sites which make the Lowveld such a popular tourist destination. Adventure activities nearby such as river rafting, white water tubing, abseiling, horse trails, hot air ballooning / microlight flights, quad bike trails, elephant back safaris and much more. DIRECTIONS: From Johannesburg or Pretoria From Johannesburg / Pretoria travel on the N4 to Nelspruit. At Nelspruit take the R40 to White River and then travel from White River to Hazyview (still on the R40). Once you reach Hazyview, carry on passing 3 stop signs and travel for approximately 900m and then turn left to Sabie (R536).
