DESCRIPTION:

Jock Safari Lodge is one of the very first privately owned camps situated in the world famous Kruger National Park, with exclusive traversing rights in what is regarded as the best Big Five game viewing area in the Kruger National Park.

Situated at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti Rivers, the luxury Jock Safari Lodge offers stunning views, with the pool literally on the confluence. Each air-conditioned luxury suite is set along the rivers, offering all the luxuries yet evoking the style and romance of the past as well as the indigenous Swazi and Shangaan cultures.

ACCOMMODATION

Main Camp
Your expectations of comfort and quality will be exceeded at Jock Safari Lodge. The main camp consists of 12 Luxury air conditioned suites that offer guests the unique opportunity to experience the gracious style of old world elegance surrounded by unspoilt wilderness.

Each suite has a private “Sala” (outdoor lounge) that overlooks the river. The romantic bathrooms and outdoor showers share the same river view and sightings of animals, including the Big Five can be seen from the comfort and privacy of your own room. Each suite has a King size bed surrounded by walk-in mosquito netting, a small lounge and twin basin bathroom. Your private terrace has its own plunge pool and a wooden walkway to a lapa overlooking the riverbed.

Little Jock
Little Jock is a stand alone lodge situated just a kilometre from the main Jock Safari Lodge. With only 3 suites, Little Jock ensures that personal service is always a priority for the lodge’s friendly staff. Each of the 3 luxurious suites are equipped with their own public areas and amenities, including both indoor and outdoor showers. While the dining and entertainment area offer both alfresco and indoor dining facilities allowing guests the unique opportunity to experience the gracious style of old world elegance surrounded by unspoilt wilderness.

Little Jock’s suites boast beautiful views into the unspoilt Kruger bushveld and guests can also relax in the comforts of the central lounge overlooking the banks of the Biyamiti River. This new lodge can either be booked as a whole lodge with its own personal chef & game ranger or as individual suites.

Standard Room Features: En-suite bathroom; Air Conditioning; Outdoor showers; Mini-bar facility; Digital safe in cupboard; Amenities; Each has a private sala overlooking the river & private plunge pool. Additional facilities include Internet facilities on request; Beautiful rock swimming pool.

Additional Information
Buffet style breakfast and lunch, wide variety of hot and cold foods. Early morning tea/coffee and High Tea in the afternoon before game drives. Dinner mostly served outdoors in the Boma or at the ox wagons. Two game drives per day. Early morning at approximately 06h00 and Afternoon at approximately16h00.

LITTLE JOCK

3 Luxury suites, all Twins, can make into king on request. Standard Room Features: En-suite bathroom; Air Conditioning; Indoor showers; Mini-bar facility; Digital safe in cupboard. Beautiful rock swimming pool.

Additional Information

CUISINE AND THE BUSH DINING EXPERIENCE

At Jock we offer an African cuisine which incorporates an abundance of flavours accumulated on the routes followed by sir Percy Fitzpatrick. The chef and his dedicated team conjure up dishes inspired by this unique location, as well as all of the influences that have passed through it at one time or another.

From the primal flavours of wild game and local herbs picked from the surrounding bushveld to the spicy tastes of visiting Arab traders, and traditional dishes introduced by European gold miners - guests can take their taste buds on a true African safari. The cuisine is presented in a variety of locations. From the elegant dining room, to private dining in your suite or to a dining adventure under the panorama of the African night.

Pilgrims Rest Spa

Pilgrim’s Rest, named after the quaint historical mining town featured so prominently in “Jock of the Bushveld” and still in existence today, was a place to rest, rejuvenate and restock. So too is the Pilgrim’s Rest Spa at Jock that overlooks the haven of a serenity garden. The spa is fully equipped with therapy and relaxation rooms, hydrotherapy bath, steam room and sauna. Therapies are also available in the relaxed atmosphere of one’s own room.

At “Pilgrim’s Rest” the need for both physical and psychological well-being is understood. Each treatment has been developed to revive, rejuvenate and restore the skin together with rebalancing mind, body and spirit. Highly qualified therapists will design a treatment programme to ensure deep relaxation and induce inner and outer harmony.

GAME DRIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Game drives in open landrovers, with our professional team of game rangers and trackers, offer guests the thrill of close encounters with Africa’s "Big Five". Walking safaris, Birding safaris and guided Historical tours will take you along the paths of legend and mystery. Rock art and Star gazing is a must see.

Secluded within the romantic surrounds of Jock Safari Lodge, a wedding here is intimate, private and absolutely special as you are surrounded by vast and unspoilt wilderness. Photographer
± 80 Jumbo size colour, sepia and black and white photos placed in a good quality flip file. Also includes negatives and 1 x CD with all photos on. There are extra charges for courier fees to Europe / USA.

Flowers
Bridal bouquet, groom’s corsage, 6 x pole arrangements, basket for table & cake arrangement. (Anything extra will be charged to guest’s account)

Wedding Cake
Traditional Fruit Wedding Cake - or carrot / chocolate cake in stead? (Bear in mind the fruit cake needs to be baked 3 months prior to the wedding to mature)

Massages
His & hers - Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage. Unlimited Sauna and Steam Room

Witnesses
If the wedding couple is alone, the Jock staff will sign as witnesses.
