The Highlands Escarpment boasts many trout dams all nearby and we have 3 trout rods available for your use. Most Belfast Dams cater for wheel chairs. We are also located only15 minutes drive from Dullstroom where you can enjoy good coffee or warm meals in the many restaurants and browse the antique shops. Additionally there are historical sites to explore like the site of the last Boer War battle and concentration camp.
For birding enthusiasts, we recommend a visit to the Bird of Prey Rehabilitation Centre. Here you will be entertained with spectacular flying displays allowing you a unique photographic experience. Knife making courses are available at Heavin Forge with master blade-smiths in Belfast and you will be able to visit their workshops. Wednesdays offer a chance to visit the Belfast stockyards; children will love to see cows, sheep and goats on auction.
Biking, running or endurance horse riding enthusiasts, training for upcoming events, can take advantage of our very high altitudes and clean air to gain optimum fitness.
The Highlands Meander in Mpumalanga offers excellent trout fishing, birding, biking, hiking, golfing, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding and historical sites to explore.
