The prestigious Abangane Guest Lodge is situated 1 km outside Hazyview on the Sabie Road, in the heart of Mpumalanga, home of the Kruger National Park. South African and German ownership are a guarantee for international flair, hospitality and professionalism.

Set in a beautiful garden, surrounded by 22 hectares of Bush land, the lodge offers breathtaking views, scenic walking trails and bird watching. The idle natured gets spoilt while lounging at the infinity pool.

The Phabeni Gate, one of the most convenient access points to the Kruger National Park, is situated app. 10 km from the Lodge. Other gates such as the Paul Kruger and Numbi Gates are in comfortable driving distance. We organize game drives / safaris, sight seeing, car rental, airport transfer, laundry, cultural entertainment .

DINING


The dining room invites you to start your day with a wholesome breakfast. After a day of adventure we prepare your candle light dinner, while you relax and enjoy a sundowner in a quiet surrounding. Have your digestive on the wooden deck or in the cozy lounge. That “one for the road” can be taken at the bar, before a good nights rest.

The Guest Lodge offers large, tastefully furnished and decorated luxury rooms, each of them with a lounge corner for relaxation as well as a separate dressing table. All lavish rooms have breathtaking views of the beautiful surroundings and are accessible via the spacious veranda.

2. Luxury Room (x1)
Tastefully decorated large room, air-conditioned, with twin beds, mosquito net, en-suite with glass shower, 2 basins, DSTV, coffee & tea making facilities, bar fridge, separate lounge corner and dressing table, ceiling fan, opens onto veranda overlooking the beautiful landscape.

3. Honeymoon Room (x1)
Tastefully decorated large room with queen-sized bed, mosquito net, large en-suite bathroom with glass shower and separate corner jet spa, 2 basins, separate toilet, DSTV, coffee and tea making facilities, bar fridge, separate lounge corner and dressing table, ceiling fan, opens onto veranda overlooking the beautiful landscape, garden and pool area.

ATTRACTIONS


Kruger Park:
Day excursions to the famous Kruger Park, home to the Big 5, or alternatively organized day or night safaris are a must during your stay. The Phabeni Gate, one of the most convenient access points to the Kruger National Park, is situated appromimately 10 km from the Lodge. Other gates such as the Paul Kruger and Numbi Gates are in comfortable driving distance.

Panorama Route:
Just next to the Highlands Meander is The Panorama Route, which abounds with breathtaking views from natural wonders along the eastern slopes of the escarpment. There’s God’s Window and the world’s third largest canyon and biggest green canyon, the Blyde River Canyon. There are also the astonishing Bourke’s Luck Potholes and three rondawels. The towns of Lydenburg and White River are gateways to the route, which takes visitors through the quaint towns of Pilgrim’s Rest, a living museum dating back to the days of the gold rush, as well as Sabie, Graskop, Ohrigstad and Hazyview.

ACTIVITIES


A variety of local activities, such as hot air ballooning, river rafting, horse riding, fishing, quad biking, etc., are available. There are also renowned Golf courses, like Sabie River Sun, Kruger Park Lodge and Skukuza in the proximity of the Lodge. Your hosts will gladly arrange any of the above mentioned activities for you and keep you informed of any day or seasonal specials.

DIRECTIONS:

From Johannesburg
Coming from Johannesburg / Pretoria, take either the Airport route or via Pretoria to Witbank From Witbank follow Nelspruit/Maputo In Nelspruit follow signs to White River (left at a big intersection) In White River follow signs to Hazyview (small sign which one can overlook shows left) Thru White River, you come to a T-junction where you can either go right or straight to Hazyview, go straight, the other way is not recommendable Follow the scenic road for about 45 km and you come to a T-Junction, turn left and you are in Hazyview After Robot, second stop turn left onto Sabie Road Follow road for 1.5 km and turn left onto dirt road Follow dirt road for app. 500 m and you are at our gate. You need an access code for your day of arrival! The total distance is app. 420 km.
