NOTE: This is only a tour suggestion - all our
itineraries are Tailor-made Tours : 13 day tour travelling from Durban to Cape Town,
including Durban City, Natal South Coast, rural Transkei, Shamwari Game Reserve (Big 5
game viewing), Addo
Elephant Park, a tractor ride through the indigenous forests of the Tsitsikamma,
seaside resorts like Plettenberg Bay & Knysna, the Outeniqua Choo Choo, an ostrich
farm and a crocodile ranch, the V&A Waterfront, the famous Cape Point & Cape of
Good Hope Reserve and Cape Town City's many attractions. |

| Itinerary - Day 1: |
Holiday Inn Garden Court,
Marine Parade (B&B) |
| Arrival
Durban. At airport you will be met by myself and transferred to your hotel on the Marine
Parade seafront, in Durban. At leasure for the rest of the day. |
| Itinerary - Day 2: |
The Wild Coast Sun

| After
breakfast and a short city tour we will depart Durban and continue along the coast past
all the holiday resorts and beaches of the Natal South Coast. That part of the country is
subtropical and lush and at that time of the year has mild and warm temperatures. We will
arrive at the Wild Coast Sun in the late afternoon. The Hotel/Resort/Casino is very well
placed directly on the beach. |

| Today we will
leave early for the very interesting and fairly long drive thru the Transkei. Its still
very rural, with many huts and cattle grazing on the rolling hills. You will get a good
impression of Africa. We will arrive late afternoon in the modern city of East
London. |
| Itinerary - Day 4: |
Shamwari Game Reserve |
| After
breakfast we will depart for the Game Reserve, Shamwari a private and exclusive
game reserve again we will travel along the coast and see many interesting beaches
and again a bit of rural scenery. We arrive about 4 PM at Shamwari, a private Game
reserve, which boast all big five. You will leave on your first game drive, late
afternoon, in an open Landrover, very close to the animals. Full board is included, all
meals and all game drives. |

| You will spend
another day, looking for game and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Eastern Cape. Full
board. |
| Itinerary - Day 6: |

| We will leave
after breakfast and half an hour later, visit the Addo National Park for a quick but
exiting visit to the elephant park, where there are more elephants per sq. foot than
anywhere else. We will leave about 4 PM to arrive in Port Elizabeth at about 5 PM. Again
we will stay on the beach front at the Holiday Inn. |

Knysna Quays Hotel, Knysna

| After
breakfast and a short city tour we will drive along the Garden Route to Knysna. The Garden
Route is famous for its scenic beauty, with many flowers and forests and mountains. We
will also take a tractor ride thru the indigenous forests of Tsitsikama and visit our
premier seaside town, Plettenbergbay. We will arrive in Knysna in time for you to do a bit
of shopping in the quayside development on the lagoon, where also our hotel is situated. |

Queens Hotel, Oudtshoorn

| At about 9.30
I will take you to the station where the famous steam locomotive, the Outeniqua Choo Choo
departs for a 3 hour slow ride along the sea, lakes and mountains. I will be at the
station in George when you arrive there at lunch time. From there we will drive over the
Outeniqua mountain pass into the Karoo, a semi-desert, to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital
of S Africa. We will visit an ostrich farm and also a crocodile ranch before retiring to
our hotel. |

| Today we
travel the last 250 miles to Cape Town but before we get there, we will see more of the
Karoo, the semi arid area behind the mountains, before we cross the mountain range again
and drive through the grape and fruit farms surrounding Cape Town. You are staying at one
of the hotels at the Waterfront our premier tourist attraction. Its situated in the
old part of the harbor, which has been renewed and renovated with many restaurants, shops
and pubs. That area is totally safe for tourists to wonder around till late. Your hotel is
directly in the Waterfront. |

| No visit to
Cape Town is complete without a visit to the famous Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope
Reserve. We will spend the whole day driving around the peninsula, past many beaches,
visit a penguin colony and take the funicular up to the Point. You will get back late
afternoon but with many good memories. |
| Itinerary - Day 11: |

| Today I will
show you the city center and its Malay quarter, museum and the Cape of Good Hope Castle
and a visit to the top of Table Mountain with the cable car weather permitting. We will
also visit a wine estate and do a wine tasting. |
