This trip delivers a fascinating visit to the Cango Caves, Crocodile and Cheetah Park and Safari Ostrich Ranch. Depart by private air charter on a scenic 40 minute flight to Oudtshoorn. This flight takes you overhead of Knysna and The Wilderness via the spectacular Outeniqua Pass, providing excellent photographic opportunities from the air.

On arrival at Oudtshoorn airport your guide is waiting to meet you. After passing through Oudtshoorn and vegetation typical of the Little Karoo you arrive at the Cango Caves. En route guests are given historical information on both the area and the ostrich boom of the late 19th / early 20th century. Guests have the opportunity to shop on site for a wide variety of South African products both before and after the tour of the Caves.

Cango Caves tour
he duration of a standard guided tour is 1 hour. Clients are shown through the various limestone chambers that make up the caves, learning the history of the caves and how they were discovered - a fascinating tour and highly recommended. Departing Cango Caves we retrace our steps to Oudtshoorn.

Crocodile and Cheetah Park tour
This informative tour is conducted by qualified guides who take you through the various stages of development of the crocodile from egg to fully grown reptile. This is followed by a tour of the cat park which is home to cheetah, lion, leopard, South American jaguars and Bengal tigers. Accommodated in large enclosures, all these big cats are safely viewed from raised walkways. Clients may enter the Cheetah enclosure accompanied by a qualified ranger to be photographed with the animals - an additional charge is levied by the Park for this.

Lunch at Safari Ostrich Ranch
This lunch is a highlight! Safari Ostrich Ranch provides an excellent lunch with ostrich fillet as the main course; chicken or vegetarian alternatives are available however need to be booked prior to arrival.

Safari Ostrich Ranch tour
Learn about the evolution of ostrich farming and current farming methods and view one of the original, resplendent “Ostrich Palaces”. Clients have the opportunity to climb aboard an ostrich as well as to observe an “ostrich race”. The curio shop is well stocked with a large variety of ostrich leather products.
