3 Day Classic Kruger Safari (April 2013)
I don't know how the experience could have been better. Great value for the price, got to see Leopard, elephants, rhinos, Cape buffalo, lion, Wilde beasts, hippos, giraffe, impala, gazelle, hyena, and so much more included many birds not seen in the US. Meals were great and my guide, Kylie did an outstanding job of making my safari experience special. There was a night safari that was something to behold. Lioness walked right past our vehicle within 10 ft of us. I took over 400 pictures during the three days. If you are going to be in JoBurg, you have to treat yourself to this experience. Thank you Kylie and Themba.

Soweto Tour (April 2013)
My wife and I wanted to say many thanks to you, and our guide Richard, for our tour of Soweto on April 3rd. Richard was very professional, knowledgable and friendly. His insights in to the people, culture, history and politics made for an amazing experience. In particular we appreciated the visit to Kliptown and the introduction to Thanduxolo Bezana (Deputy Director of the Kliptown Youth Program...the Director of KYP was given a a 2012 CNN Heroes Award). A very worthwhile Program that we hope future visitors will take a close look at.

Soweto Tour (April 2013)
Took a half day tour to Soweto with Themba tours. Richard greeted us at the hotel and was a great tour guide from start to finish. This was a fantastic way to see the real Soweto and really enjoyed the tour around the informal settlement. Really informative and highly recommended.

Soweto Tour (March 2013)
“Great tour, great experience!”
Our family had a wonderful day with their guide, Pat or Patrick. We have 14 years old boy and I was wondering if it was bit boring for him to stay with us nearly all day. But Pat was so friendly and good listener, my son had such a great time chatting with him about Soweto, politics, to rugby and soccer in the bus!! Pat had so much knowledge about all sorts of things!! It was such a educational day for all of our family, We had been living in a couple of countries which have real poverty but never had chance to actually see inside of the tin house or talk to people who are living there. We just want to say thank you, Pat and Themba tour for giving us such a great experience!!

Soweto, Apartheid Museum and Lunch (January 2013)
I have been recently in South Africa and staid couple of days in Johburg. I found Themba Day Tours online and booked for Soweto. It was excellent, especially thanks to our fantastic guide Richard. Emotional visit to Apartheid Museum and location of historical fight for freedom in Soweto. A unique experience that I advice for everyone going to Johburg. A must!

Soweto Tour (December 2012)
What a well organized and informative 1/2 day tour of Soweto - which was mostly due to our excellent tour guide Leonard! We had friends from Australia who thoroughly enjoyed it and we as South Africans learnt so much too due to Leonard's wealth of knowledge! Would highly recommend this tour!!

Soweto, Apartheid Museum and Lunch (June 2012)
From the planning stage to the completion of our tour Themba provided professional service. My inquiries were followed up promptly (sometimes within minutes,) their vehicles clean and well maintained, our guide Leonard arrived on time, answered countless questions, was knowledgeable and shared a variety of information ranging from current events to the flora of the area. We were quite pleased to have him back as he had guided us the previous day in Pretoria.
The tour includes a short visit with a family living in Soweto and an opportunity to directly ask them questions.Time to visit both the Hector Peterson Museum and about two hours for the Apartheid Museum were allocated. Lunch was at Wandie's where we were also musically entertained while we sampled the various tasty dishes. Be sure to do some pre-trip reading as you will get so much more out of what you see and learn. And of course, plenty of photo opportunities.

3 Day Classic Kruger Safari (April 2012)
My partner and I had a fantastic 3 day trip, we saw the "big 5" and Zack, our guide was very good. The tent was clean and tidy, we had a fridge freezer, electric fan, wardrobe and lights and the shower block was not too far. The old disused railway station provided a good setting for the restaurant for evening meals and breakfast was provided for by a restaurant at a river overlooking elephants drinking, hippo's swimming and crocs basking. Great fun, would love to do it all again
