Tooth and Claw - Cape Town - Garden Route - Kariega: You will visit Cape Town, voted one of the top 5 cities in the world, the lush Winelands, home to many world renowned wine-estates and historical buildings, the famous Garden Route featuring farms, forests, pristine beaches and rolling hills flanked by numerous mountain ranges. Finally a Safari at Kariega Game Reserve where you will experience game drives and river cruises in a malaria free environment as well as a visit to the nearby Shamwari Game Reserve and Addo Elephant Park.

Day 1: Cape Town International Airport to Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met and transferred to the Portswood Hotel where you will spend 5 nights on a bed & breakfast basis.Your hired vehicle will be delivered to your hotel shortly after your arrival.
Overnight: Portswood Hotel
Day 2: Cape Town
This morning play golf at the Milnerton Golf Club or Atlantic Beach Golf Estate (both "Links" courses). This afternoon optional tour around the city and visit Table Mountain (weather permitting), then pop into the V & A Waterfront for dinner at one of the many restaurants and enjoy some evening shopping.

Day 3: Cape Town
Play golf this morning at Royal Cape Golf Club or Steenberg Golf Estate and spend the balance of the day at leisure. (sight-seeing options list supplied on request).

Day 4: Cape Town
Play golf this morning at either Westlake or Clovelly and then visit the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, continuing thereafter to Cape Point Nature Reserve for a late lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant, followed by a tour of the area (all entrance fees & lunch to own account).
Overnight: Portswood Hotel
Day 5: Cape Town
Spend the entire day at leisure sight-seeing or shopping at Canal Walk - Century City, Cape Town's popular shopping Mall. For golf requirements visit The Pro Shop at N1 City.

Day 6: Cape Town to Stellenbosch
Transfer this morning to The Winelands, where you will stay at The Village at Spier for 2 nights B&B (allow 40 min traveling time). Play golf at Spier Golf Estate this afternoon followed by some wine-tasting (to own account) at their 19th hole.

Day 7: Stellenbosch
Play golf this morning on the Erinvale Golf Estate or Stellenbosch Golf Course and spend the afternoon exploring Stellenbosch, the 2nd oldest town in South Africa or enjoy a wine tour of one of the many estates in the area. (Please note that Erinvale will be closed to the public during part of the season).
Overnight: The Village at Spier
Day 8: Stellenbosch to Wilderness
After a late breakfast commence your journey along the scenic Garden Route and check in at The Wilderness Beach Hotel, a short drive past George, where you will stay for 2 nights B&B (allow 4 - 5 hours traveling time).

Day 9: Wilderness
Play Golf this morning on Fancourt "Links" Course, host to the 2003 Presidents Cup. Spend the afternoon exploring the area or optional; visit to Oudtshoorn or have lunch and a game drive at Botlierskop Game Farm near Big Brak. (20min drive).
Overnight: The Wilderness Beach Hotel
Day 10: Wilderness to Knysna
Golf today on the George Golf Course and then enjoy the 40min scenic drive to Knysna where you will stay at the very central Knysna Log Inn for 3 nights B&B.

Day 11: Knysna to Plettenberg Bay
Take a 30min drive to Plettenberg Bay and spend the day at leisure lazing on Pletts stunning beaches or enjoy the many wonderful sight seeing attractions. Optional: Along route visit the Knysna Elephants where you can feed, hug and touch these gentle giants or experience a Dolphin / Whale-watching cruise, Monkeyland or Glider flips over the bay. For more golf, play 9 holes at Goose Valley (optional).

Day 12: Knysna
Play golf at Sparrebosch, (Pezula Club) and then take a cruise (to own account) to the famous Knysna Heads.

Day 13: Knysna to Kariega Game Reserve
This morning drive to Port Elizabeth and return your hired vehicle to the rental company. You will be met by a representative of Kariega who will transfer you to Kariega Game Lodge where you will stay in the Main Lodge for 3 nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis inclusive of 1 game activity per day as well as a day tour to Shamwari Game Reserve and visit to The Addo Elephant Park. You can also enjoy free walks along the game trails at Kariega. Experience your first game drive or river cruise this evening.

Day 14: Kariega Game Reserve
You will be taken on a day visit to Shamwari Game Reserve to see The Big 5.
Overnight: Kariega Game Lodge
Day 15: Kariega Game Reserve
Enjoy another Kariega activity today as well as your tour of the Addo Elephant Park.

Day 16: Kariega Game Reserve to Port Elizabeth Airport
After this mornings game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to Port Elizabeth Domestic Airport for you flight to either Cape Town or Johannesburg to connect with your onward flight home.
