Riebeek Valley MedFest in Riebeek Kasteel

This Easter the Riebeek Valley invites you to once again meander the mouth-watering landscape of Mediterranean tastes and flavours during the 4th annual MedFest.

Serious gourmands, casual foodies, fans, followers and lovers of all things Mediterranean may entertain their culinary senses to a colourful tapestry of intimate traditional and widely popular offerings that have become the benchmark of centuries’ old Mediterranean cuisine and complimentary customs.

This year a total of 8 destinations as countries, namely Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco and the Med Islands will again be paired with a selection of local restaurants and wineries. On Saturday, Short Street will hold a Mediterranean style market and on Sunday, the Royal Hotel will host their third annual Portuguese Festival. Other destinations to consider include a fully traditional Greek Experience at Kasteelberg Bistro, a Mediterranean style Bakery, a Coffee Tasting Shop and more.

For formal sit down meals, visitors are advised to make bookings in advance by contacting the restaurants directly. Casual food lovers preferring to sample smaller, diversified tastes on offer, will be accommodated as casual walk-ins. Visitors are recommended to consider lengthening thie Med Meander by booking directly at any of our warm and friendly hotels, guest houses, self catering facilities or B&B’s. And all this only one hour's drive from Cape Town.
