Hermanus Wine & Food Fair in Hermanus

The Hermanus Wine & Food Fair was nominated as one of the 10 best wine festivals in South Africa! 50 Local wineries from Elgin to Elim will present their wines for tasting, not forgetting delectable fares from various cheese and olive farms amongst others, as well as the famous Sushi of The Harbour Rock. All the wines on tasting will be available for purchasing at the Wine Village during the festival at cellar price.

Do not miss the opportunity to taste and pay for your favourite wines and fill up your wine racks! This is the only Wine and Food Fair in South African where you are able to purchase the wines tasted and either take them home immediately or have them shipped home anywhere in the world. What utter convenience!

The Hermanus Botanical Society will be the main beneficiary of the Wine Village Cocktail for Fynbos and Wine Auction on Friday 7 August. From their first wildflower show in 1924 the Botanical Society has gone to great lengths to send a positive environmental message to young and old alike. This partnership between the Botanical Society and the Wine Village, is one of many such ventures in Hermanus.

Tickets for the cocktail evening of 8 August are R150 per person and this includes cocktail snacks, a crystal tasting glass, wine tasting galore, with the star attraction of the evening, the famous Wine Auction. Please remember that bookings are essential and tickets can be purchased from the Wine Village.

Of the tickets sold on Saturday and Sunday, R10 of each ticket will go to the Botanical Society’s Fynbos education programme. Entrance to the Wine & Food Fair will include an informative booklet on the wines on offer with your tasting glass.

Come and enjoy more than 200 wines from the various wine estates, olive products, glorious cheese, and loads of speciality food stalls.
