Gravity Adventure Festival in Kleinmond

The Gravity Adventure Festival, now in its 7th year, will be held in the spectacular surroundings of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve near Kleinmond. The Festival consists of exciting events such as: Trail Run, MTB Race, Downriver Kayak Race, K1 Sprint, Mile River Swim, Downriver Croc Race, Adventure Race and a Climbing Event.

These events are all centered around the main road bridge on the Palmiet River, where the major rapids and estuary are in full view, which make for great viewing of the various events. There will also be a climbing wall, food stalls and gear stalls available throughout the weekend at the Festival HQ, just next to the bridge. We now have 8 different disciplines open for entry and this makes the Gravity Adventure Festival the most diverse Adventure Festival in South Africa!

Our two new events are the Mile River Swim and the Estuary Sprint (which can be entered with either a K1,K2 or Surfski). The Estuary Sprint will be held on the Sunday so it does not clash with the Saturday K2 race in Swellendam. See full list of events below on the timetable. The programme below has been updated to accommodate the two new events, so make a note of the changes. Also note that we will need to keep to a tight time schedule, so please be on time for your events!
