Up The Creek Music Festival
When: Friday, 05 February 2010 to Sunday, 07 February 2010
Where: Swellendam
Categories: Annual Festivals / Music Festivals
The Up The Creek Music Festival is a get-together of musicians, fans, friends, party-animals, upcoming talent, golden oldies, rockers, revelers and generally all other electrifying things that you can squash into the intimate festival spot next to the Breede River.
We are small enough to pull it off, so everybody is a VIP - promise! We are not lying but we do have a couple of tricks up our sleeves. If you are one of the only 2000 people to have secured a ticket, you can look forward to some out of this world performances, including the resurrection of the legendary Blues Broers and the (sure to knock-your-trunks-off) riverside performance of Dan Patlansky with Albert Frost and Jaco Mans. Then there is also Prime Circle, Bed on Bricks, the Rudimentals, Boulevard Blues Band, Dirty Skirts, Taxi Violence, Wonderboom, Tidal Waves, Flat Stanley, Southern Gypsey Queen and many more.
If you still have not had enough, you will be happy to hear that the late night bar line-up will kick in straight after the main stage, where Akkedis will entertain the late night revelers with friends the likes of Simon Agent Orange, Namibian star on the rise Andra, Black Cat Bone and Dave Ferguson.
Up The Creek takes place just outside of Swellendam from 6 to 8 February. Tickets for the three day fest are R400 if you’re quick or R450 at the gate.
