Military Concert and Dolphin Show

Where: Point Waterfront, Durban

The SA Army Band KwaZulu Natal - a combination of the former 121 South African Infantry Battalion Band, former Navy band and members of the former Eastern Province Command Staff Band - started out in 2001. The band is known for its ceremonial parades as well as a performance at the annual SATMA awards, previous KwaZulu Natal Military Tattoos and more. South African favourites such as Impi, Pata Pata, Homeland and What a Wonderful World are on its play list.
The 1 Medical Battalion Group Pipe Band which has made its mark at major national and International events - including the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and World Pipe Championships in 2004 - will be blowing up a storm with the likes of Scotland the Brave, Am Na Wae Ta Baide Awe, Sarie Marias, Cock of the North, Amazing Grace and Flower of Scotland.
uShaka Marine World and the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) believe this will be a whole new entertainment experience that will combine the best of traditional African culture and age-old military tradition and act as a precursor to the upcoming 2011 Kwa-Zulu Natal Military Tattoo. Last year’s military tattoo at the Royal Agricultural show in Pietermaritzburg was described as the “best event held in the last 15 years.” This show will continue that proud tradition.
So, roll up at 19:00 hours on Friday, 20 May and Saturday, 21 May. Tickets can be booked through Computicket.
