Plattekloof
Views from Plattekloof towards Table Mountain

Plattekloof, once part of the De Villiers Graaf family trust, is now one of the more sought after suburbs to the north of Cape Town. Lines of comparison have been drawn with Constantia’s Steenberg region with its 40 hectare golf estate, due in part to the prevalence of palatial homes built in large security estates - regarded as the most exclusive in the Western Cape - and the views - from here you can see right across to the city, including Table Mountain and the ocean.

Plattekloof backs on to the Tygerberg hills and shares a border with De Grendel wine estate, which sits on top of this same hill and forms part of the Durbanville Wine Route that makes staying in this area such a draw card.

However the high demand for property in this part of the world is mostly due to the ease of access, which makes it such an ideal base for visitors to Cape Town, aside from the views. Cape Town’s International airport is an easy trip; Blaauwberg’s beaches are easily reached as is the centre of Cape Town, provided you don’t venture out during peak hour; the business hub around the Tygervalley, the winelands and, did we mention the views from here?
