Self Catering Accommodation

Witmos Oxwagon Camp offers accommodation in Somerset East in seven oxwagons. Each wagon has a carpeted floor and is furnished with twin beds that can be converted into King-size beds. These quaint wagons have access to three shared communal bathrooms that contain gas and wood-burning geysers, shower / bath combination, basins, and toilets, as well as an extra shared guest toilet.

On Site Facilities

The camp has solar electricity for general lighting in the wagons to light the pathways, and a mobile phone charging station. Drinking water is provided as well.

The main building houses the communal kitchen and lounge area that has a cosy stone fireplace, and where guests can make use of the free Wi-Fi access. The camp also boasts a social fire pit, where guests can sit and socialise on clear nights and admire the many stars. The camp is completely solar and gas-powered.

Please Note

The road to the camp is a gravel road and not recommended for cars with low clearance.

Activities

Relaxing evenings under the starry skies and in front of open pit fires, are a favourite pastime for guests staying at Witmoskloof. The camp is totally surrounded by mountains and veldt, about 230km North of Port Elizabeth and the main farm homestead is 2km from the camp.
