About Winterton Country Lodge

Winterton Country Lodge is located in Winterton and offers accommodation in the Drakensberg for thirty two guests. Close to the berg resorts for hiking, horse riding, golfing, arts and crafts, restaurants and coffee shops.

The well-known Drakensberg Boys Choir and Spionkop Game Reserve are located close by. Enjoy this special "World Heritage Site" in our beautiful Central Drakensberg.

Accommodation

The Winterton Country Lodge hotel in the Drakensberg offers a range of hotel units sleeping between two and eight guests each. There are four self catering units and seven bed & breakfast rooms.

Some rooms have a fireplace. Luxury rooms have air conditioning and a spa bath with a double basin and shower. All rooms have a bar fridge, coffee / tea facilities, air conditioning, heater and fan, braai facilities and a TV with DStv.

Winterton Country Lodge was a refuge on a stormy wet night after a daylong drive from Kruger National Park. The rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is varied and hearty and the staff is warm, accessible and very helpful. It is close to the Drakensberg attractions. Our three night stay was great! You can’t go wrong.

Our first stay at Apple Cottage and the staff made us very welcome. We were even offered an opportunity to have our evening meal there on arrival and it was superb. Sophewe looked after our every need during our three day stay. Very comfortable bed and beautiful gardens with lots of trees. A perfect spot to stay when exploring the northern Drakensberg area. Highly recommend!
