Ty Gwyrdd at Monument House offers accommodation in Franschhoek. The estate is nestled behind the famous Huguenot Museum, a mere five minutes walk from Franschhoek High-street. Monument House is settled over 4 acres of manicured gardens and indigenous meadows.

Ty Gwyrdd is air-conditioned holiday home in Franschhoek sleeping six guests. Steeped in natural sunlight the house’s verdant design celebrates the stunning views of the Franschhoek landscape visible through each of the repeating sets of French doors.

There are three bedrooms each furnished with extra-length King-size beds. The rooms all have full en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin.

A generous sitting area leads through to a fully equipped luxury kitchen with dining for ten and a dedicated study room. The dining and lounge areas share a central fireplace and there is a TV with satellite channels and Wi-Fi. A long, languid terrace overlooks layered lawns and gardens offering outdoor dining and a lavish sitting area.

A private central courtyard with a fountain and a built-in barbecue has an additional outdoor dining table, perfect for breakfast.

A perfect base for those wishing to explore the area on foot and in which to experience the "Grand Tour " that only the Franschhoek Valley can provide.

For the wine aficionado there are ever 40 vineyards in this region, ranging from regal and rustic through to branded and boutique, one as beautiful as the next, all of which produce astonishingly good wine. Franschhoek Wine Tram allows an ease of access for those not in the mood to drive. 65km from Cape Town airport it is conveniently situated for the international traveler. Nearby Mont Rochelle Nature reserve and the abundant countryside ensure the best hiking trails, golf and mountain biking experience.
