Wow, what a fantastic place - the best place to stay when visiting J Bay is Aston Bay. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts Peggy and Lionel and we felt at home right from the start. The cottage is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, the cottage is well equipped with everything you will need when on holiday. The view is absolutely breath taking and waking up to that view every day was fantastic – what a way to start the day. It is truly a home away from home – this is one of the places we will definitely go back to. Thank you Peggy and Lionel for your friendly hospitality.

The Sparrow cottage was way above our expectations. Sipping sundowners on the patio. Listening to the sea (literally a stone’s throw away). Beautiful sunrises. Was only equal to the well coming warmth of our hosts.

Sparrow’s Nest is in a beautiful area with a magnificent view of the sea and beach which are right across the road. This B&B is well appointed, well maintained, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The hosts are superb. They're extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable, without being intrusive. I will definitely stay there again and I recommend them to all family and friends.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Sparrow’s Nest in February 2020. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by hosts Peggy and Lionel. The cottage is right on the beachfront and is ideal for a family or couples getaway. The 2-bedroomed self-catering unit is fully equipped and is truly a home-away-from-home, in the most picturesque of settings. Aston Bay is within close proximity to so many attractions and we found that our 2-night stay at The Sparrow’s Nest was way too short. Apart from visiting the local attractions and trying out the wonderful restaurants nearby, we also visited neighbouring Jeffrey’s Bay and St Francis Bay. Our next stay will definitely be for a longer period, as we felt that we had so much more to see and do by the time we left. If you are looking for a very well-priced, well-appointed, comfortable and clean self-catering unit, with an AWESOME sea view and secure parking, you would not go wrong in choosing The Sparrow’s Nest. The hosts went out of their way to ensure that all our needs were attended to and really made our stay so memorable. Definitely a place of Many Happy Returns for us!
