The French Cottage Clarens is built in country French style with the iconic Clarens sandstone. This luxury cottage sleeps six guests in three bedrooms, all of which have their own entrance. The property is home to a large overhanging cave with bushman paintings and perennial waterfall as well as an orchard and forest. A large variety of bird life can be seen as well as grey duiker, porcupine, genets and dassies. This stunning cottage has three bedrooms; two are downstairs and share a bathroom that has a corner bath and a shower. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second has two three-quarter-size beds. There is another bedroom upstairs; this room has a king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. The bed linen is luxury crisp white percale and soft towels are provided. There is a country style kitchen that is fully equipped and open plan to the dining room, boasting spectacular mountain views. The kitchen has gas stove and convection oven, a freezer, fridge and microwave. There is also a lounge area with DStv. Additional Facilities: Outside you will find a fire pit and a braai / barbeque area. There is secure parking. The garden is fenced off and secure.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?
