The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring a well-appointed kitchen and a KolKol wood-fired hot tub for relaxing under the stars. A generous supply of wood is provided for fireplaces, braais, and the hot tub, with additional wood available for purchase. A dedicated housekeeper is on hand to assist with daily tasks such as dishwashing, bed-making, and fire preparation, ensuring a comfortable stay. Sugarbird has Wi-Fi, while the rest of the farm is off-grid with no mobile signal. A shared Wi-Fi area is available for guests staying in other cottages. Katrinasrust encourages a digital detox, and there are no televisions in any of the cottages. Trout fishing is included in all stays at no extra charge, with fly fishing as the only permitted method. Catch-and-release is encouraged, but guests may keep a fish or two to enjoy during their stay. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

How to confirm?
Deposits are required to confirm a booking, usually 50% but sometimes as high as 100% depending on season and time till check-in.

Cancellation policy
If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
